Job Title: Field Service Technician

Reports To: Shop Manager
OVERVIEW:
ML Utilities Fleet Solutions is a Service provider dedicated to serving the Electrical Utilities Industry, telecommunications industry and tree care professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate should be qualified to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair truck mounted aerial devices, digger derricks and cranes of different manufacturers.
Qualified applicants should be proficient in hydraulic system diagnostics and repair, electrical system diagnostics and repair, be proficient in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics as well as use fluid and load testing tools.
Must have knowledge and skill with hydraulics, automotive electronics and 110 volt systems and be able to perform heavy component installations (climbing up, down and under trucks) in an efficient manner.
Must obtain all required hand tools. Be able to pass pre-job requirements and become qualified as a CDL Driver if required. Be willing to attend training seminars and travel in the field when necessary.
Experience in insulated aerial device products is a plus. Take responsibility for Service Truck, keeping it ready at all times for required fieldwork. Take responsibility for all required documentation of work performed or in process.
Additionally:
- Installation of components
- Test operation of completed units
- Troubleshoot and repair customer units in the field.
- Install heavy components such as PTO's and pumps.
- Perform dielectric testing on aerial devices.
- Perform annual inspection and or PM inspections.
- Must be able to perform job duties or tasks with minimal supervision.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum experience of 5 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment job requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Experience with Aerial or utility type of equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Requires own hand tools
- Must be willing to work long hours and travel as necessary
- Able to climb ladders and stepping on/off of equipment as needed
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs
